Default powerleveling

how exactly do you powerlevel another player? I want to powerlevel a very good friend of mine who just made a fourth char but doesn't want to grind through everything AGAIN, how exactly is it done?

sorry if this has been discussed before, couldn't find any related threads, or maybe I searched for the wrong thing.

he plays on my PC, so!!!! we can only play together when I commandeer another friend's PC, which is like twice a month for 2 hours. that means I need as MUCH XP as possible in the least amount of time.

answer the question, I didn't ask for ideas. (aimed at lonesamurai)

EDIT: also I ask, how do I keep him alive while doing trolls, seeing as he won't get XP if he dies, or will he?

no, the point is, why power level? what does it achieve? and you can play through the storyline missions together and lvl very quickly

thought about that, but you can gain alot more XP in 2 hours trollfarming than 2 hours doing missions, I think in 2 hours you'd get to just past yaks or near kryta, and if you do only the missions and not all the quests you won't hit LVL20 in 2 hours, where, I think, you could doing trolls?

correct me if I'm wrong or misinformed

Sorry, i just don't see it, I don't see the point and especially if you only get 2 hours to play together, then make a character and play trough the missions together, that sounds far more fun then him (or her) sitting there for 2 hours as you power lvl them

Ummm... have him start a character in Factions... he'll be level 20 easily in that amount of time... assuming you guys know where to go in the factions-island.

my friend's pc is a kinda old P4 with 256mb RAM and a nVidia GForce 4 MX440

have you ever tried playing factions on a machine like that?

also the question was [rephrased] "how do I powerlevel someone who'll die within a few seconds in only 2 hours? will he gain experience while he's char is dead or what?"

Samurai; as he stated, he asked for powerlevelling.

Once you have played the storyline three or four times, as I have, it gets VERY VERY tedious to do so again.

If your friend owns factions, you can powerlevel him to 15 (easy) and then move to Kaineng Centre. I did quests in a certain order and got 15->20 in an hour and 10 minutes.

I think you still get experience if you're dead. As long as he isn't gray in your party list (when he can't see the gray dot of his body on your compass), I think he can still get experiece.

Here is the link to the Powerleveling page on the wiki http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Power_level with it's recommendation to do the Mountain Trolls if you can get your friend to Droks.

Make sure to get the needed scrolls (Adventurer's and Hero's are best) to speed things up as you will get bored quickly. Make sure your friend stays back from aggro range, but not grayed out on your party list.

As to experience while dead, most games do not give a dead character any experience. I could not find any info in the wiki about that. If you test it, come back and let us know.

once you are dead you will gain no xp till a party member raises you. Any of the mobs that are killed when you are dead you do not gain xp for them

Run/play him to the area in Nightfall with the worms (junundu or something). He'll be lvl 20 in no time.
